A few days ago (I don't remember when exactly) the Cake Wrecks blog mentioned that LIFE magazine had teamed up with google to release all there photos. Well I love stuff like that so I've been having a great time looking at the old photos. It's were I got the showgirls knitting that I used the other day on my blog. Anyway, I've decided we should all switch back to black and white photography there is just something about it. I specifically requested black and white shots at my wedding and they are my favorite pictures from the day. It makes everything look romantic, beautiful, sexy, graceful. Perhaps it's just my overactive sense of nostalgia but I just love them.
It's like airbrushing it erases blemishes. Skin looks flawless, eyes bright, hair tamed.
Everyone looks mysterious, as if they were about to say something incredibly interesting.
All I'm saying is, if I was photographed in black and white all the time I truly believe that I would look as beautiful and graceful as Audrey, Marilyn and Sophia here. Don't you think?

Yes. I have a b&w handbag (with ruby rhinestones) with a very similar pic of Audrey on it. I don't care if it's in style or not. I love it. There is something about black and white.
