Soup For Me

Today is Chicken Soup for the Soul Day. Another commercial made up holiday but I often look to those when I can’t think of anything to write about. I tried to think of inspirational story to write but I couldn't’t think of one. I’m sure I have them, it’s just that none come to mind.
There’s the story about the time I spent the night with Andrea went down stairs in the morning to find most of the boys in our class in the kitchen. But that’s really her story to tell.
I got to thinking about all the little things that people have done for me that really touched my heart. Sure they weren't big things and I’m sure they meant more to me then the people who did them. Isn’t that really what’s important, that they were able to do something so nice for me without even trying. Anyway I thought I would use this opportunity to Thank some of those people. The ones I can think of right now.

Sara, for leaving a note on my car once, while I was at work at Pizza Hut.
Andrea, for drawing me pictures and cheering me up when Courtney dumped me.
Curtis, for putting your arm around me at Everett’s funeral.
Cindy, for just answering my question without flinching that time I called you by accident and said “Mom?”.
Stacey, for making me Lasagna, for no reason.
Stacey and Ryan, for making a snowman outside my door.
Steve, for making me a cake on my 25th Birthday. And for all those e-mails and phone calls.
Erin, for sticking up for me at a party once. To tell the story is way to embarrassing.
Heather, for watching TV with me while Steve was deployed.
Dad, for hugs, and the letter you wrote me about Courtney.
Mom, talking to me everyday when we lived in Washington.
Casey for harassing Aaron Kimber at football practice.

That’s all I can think of right now. I know that there are so many more little things. But for these and all the ones I didn’t mention Thank You.
Thanks for reading

I will never forget the night I was armed with gummy bears, worms, etc. and movies and hugs. My mom said, go and I went! I am so glad I was there to go through that with you, even if it sucked at the time! Love you!

we remember the snowman--but was it this stacey who made the lasagna?

Yes, it was that Stacey. I ended up taking it to Maureen's one night and sharing it with her. See you do so many nice things you can't even remember them all.

Okay, if it was me, I don't remember what the note said! Let me know...I am curious now.

What a nice exercise...now you are returning the favor by noticing the kindness.

Yes, it was you that left me the card. It was a thank you for something. I can't even remember what. Your always so good about sending Thank you's. It just made my day to come out to my car and find a nice note from a friend. Same thing I told Stacey you do so many nice things you can't even remember them all.
