I currently have four knitting projects in progress. The one that I've been trying to complete lately is a scarf for Steve. It was 15 degrees at our house this morning and because I'm pokey he had a bare neck. It's almost done, but since I don't have very much free time in the evenings it's taking forever. I also have a baby hat (That was suppose to be for Jenn's baby shower. I had a miss hap with it and had to abandon it for something I could finish faster.), An afghan (That I've been working on since we moved 3 years ago. I was planing to work on it while we drove back and discovered knitting in the car makes me nauseous. It's my back up plan I go back to it when I don't have anything else going on.), and a baby blanket (That was suppose to be for Levi. I worked on it while I was pregnant and only got about half way done.) See how badly I need a knitting group to keep me motivated and focused.
If all that wasn't bad enough, I'm also constantly seeing new projects that I'm just itching to work on. And then there are the cross stitch projects that I would like to get done. The yarn shop I like in Columbia is having a big sale this weekend and I'd love to go and get some cute yarns. But I already have a tub full that I should use first. The new stuff just looks so much more appealing.
So, anyway, in my continuing efforts to convince you all that you need to join a knitting group with me I thought I would share some of my favorite knitting web sites. Maybe they'll inspire you.
Hillcreek Yarn Shoppe is a very cute yarn shop in Columbia. I love it there, the people are friendly and they have cute yarn and free patterns all around the store. The baby hat I'm working on was inspired there.
Knitting Pattern Central, I think the name is pretty self explanatory, the patterns are free which is what I like about them. You should go there and see all the cute things you could be making.
Knitting on the Net, another site with free patterns.
Knit Picks, I just found this store recently and I love it.
Jenn, we may have to just start a group ourselves, it would be a very small group but still fun.
Thanks for reading.

I'm game...at least when you see new projects you have the confidence of knowing you can conquer them. I can't even remember how I started my stupid potholder (casting on or whatever its called). I'm ready to learn, though!
Poor neglected Steve...I think when we start scrapping again, you should come up and knit. Then we could all chat!
i agree andrea! i am not a knitter but at least you would be with us whether you were scrappin or knittin! come join us:)
ps. i still can't read your whole blog at a time. it will kick me back to Dell Search Page. Don't change your stuff on my account. I just keep hitting the back button until i get your whole post read. it did it when you had your fall theme too.
I would love to come join your scrapbooking. That would be fun. Maybe you'll see how cute the stuff is and it will convince someone they want to start knitting. Wishful thinking. Until then Jenn, let me know what night your free and I'll make something containing obscene amounts of chocolate and come up.
