After the great baby boom of 2010 the two babies I have to knit for in 2011 seem like nothing. I thought I would try and make both babies, that I know of so far anyway, knitted toys. Please help me decide what to make. I don't know the sex of either baby, which is fun, but leaves me in that awful place of finding gender neutral colors to make things out of.
Option #1

I like this ball and think it's a really fun idea. The only down side is it kind of looks like a dogs chew toy.
Option #2

My old stand by, the snuggle bunny. I recently discovered some yarn called Velvetspun that looks so so soft and would be perfect for this.
Option #3

Who doesn't love a cute little rainbow elephant. However, if I made this guy he probably wouldn't be striped, unless it was one or maybe two stripes. Call me lazy, but changing colors takes too long.
Option #4

Sheldon the turtle. Okay, I'm already kind of in love with Sheldon. I'm not positive, but I'm pretty sure one of the projects will be this guy, unless after looking at the pattern he turns out to be complicated. You can't tell from the picture, but his shell is a separate piece that you can take off and put on.
Thanks for reading and sharing your opinions.

The turtle and elephant are my votes. They are VERY cute.
I love the elephant and the turtle. Coming from a mom of 2 babies who are "chewers" both of them have great potential to be "loveys"...snuggle and able to be chewed on. I mean, the elephant has that awesome trunk and the turtle has his head and those little legs that would make great chewies. I think the ball is cool, though--I like that pattern, and love the bunny but you've already done that! ;)
turtle or elephant all the way!
I agree! Turtle and Elephant! they are adorable!

I'm out of this world impressed at the thought that you would be able to make such amazing things! I love the turtle--adorable AND my kid brother's name is Sheldon. ;)
I love that last two b/c they have color, but the bunny is sweet too.
