I'd like to tell you a story about this ornament. I found out I was pregnant with Levi the day after Thanksgiving. Steve had to work until 6 so when I got off work early and ran to Wal-Mart to get a test. When I got home my in-laws were waiting on me in our driveway. I made pleasant conversation with them for a while and then quietly snuck away. I swear, reading those test results was the most mentally challenged I've ever felt in my life. All of a sudden I couldn't remember what a plus sign looked like. I was pretty sure that was what I was looking at, but I was confused, maybe I had the two mixed up. I'd taken probably six of these test over the past months and they had always come out negative, in an effort not to get my hopes up I had already decided this one would too. After staring dumb founded at those two little lines for a few minutes, I went back into the living room and spent the longest 1/2 hour of my life trying to make conversation with my in-laws while I was bursting inside. Finally I left to pick up Steve from work. I stopped at Hallmark on the way and bought this ornament. It's the Parents-to-be 2006 ornament. I gave it to Steve when he got out of work along with a card telling him what a great father he was going to be.
Every year when I hang this ornament on the tree I think of that moment. I love Hallmark Ornaments!
Thanks for reading.
