Well, we covered charity knitting, now lets talk about selfish knitting. I haven't made anything for myself in about five years. I decided I was due. I'll get to that in a minute, but first....
I made this great lattice scarf for my mother-in-law for Christmas. I like it so much it's going to be a little sad to let it go.

To flush it out a little more as a present I got this great little shawl pin to go with it and hold it in place.

So pretty!
I started this scarf for my self over a year ago. Poor little scarf kept getting pushed aside for gift projects, until I finally decided to make it a neck warmer so that I could finish it.

I love how it turned out. It's going to be perfect for the chili days coming up.

It won't be warm enough for the dead of winter, but I'm working on another selfish project that should cover that base for me.

I don't really feel like any of these pictures do justice to the colors or the pattern.

Bonus of making it a neck warmer, I have enough of this yarn left to make a pair of matching fingerless gloves.
Thanks for reading.
