Boys are so Difficult

It's so hard to find patterns for baby boys that don't look girlie. I have two friends expecting baby boys so I had to find something. I finally gifted what I knit for the baby due in July so I can share them.

This was requested as a photo prop for the mom-to-be. It's a baby bowl.
I made this back in Feb. It didn't occur to me to take pictures of Eliana in it after she was born. So we'll have to wait for Jenn to use it to see a baby in it. (Okay I've seen Eli in it, but didn't take a picture. Trust me it's cute, can't wait to see Xavier in it.)
I like this better then the cocoons because you can see more of the baby, and that's the point right?

Next is the Kiddie Cadet hat.
This was the manlyest baby hat I could find.
I thought it turned out really nice. You can't see it very well in these pictures but the top of it is my favorite part.

Finally boy booties.
I love these. I'll be making lots more of them in the future. They look like little deck shoes. I want to make another red pair with little baseball buttons. Wouldn't that be so cute?
My knitting has slowed way down since the baby was born but I'm hoping to pick it up again once we get in a routine.
Thanks for reading.

The shoes are the best! Makes me wish I had a baby boy! Oh wait! I do. He's 22 and still asleep (at 11:10 am). He's such a good sleeper!
