Steve made Levi a sandbox for his first birthday. He spent hours making it perfect. It turned out great the only problem was Levi didn't really like it. I felt so bad that after all that work Levi didn't enjoy it. As time went on he warmed up to it a little, and by little I mean he would sit on the edge of it and tell you to build things and dig holes. God forbid a grain of sand land on him or he would freak out and be ready to leave. We went out the other day and for the first time he actually sat down in the sand and played.

I'm not going to lie, I was relieved.

We had kind of decided we would just hope baby No. 2 liked the sand box.

But finally, he's getting into it.

Steve didn't say anything but I know he had to get a big sense of satisfaction out of watching Levi get in and play.
Thanks for reading.

Looks like Levi is hard at work. The pics are great. Thanks for sharing!
glad he likes it now. i am sure steve was glad too:) now you probably won't be able to get him out of it. just wait until you are all ready to go somewhere and he has nice clothes on it and he takes it amongst himself to go play for a little bit. then you might wish he didn't love it so much:)
WHEW!!! I would be breathing a big sigh of relief...not only because his dad made it, but what red-blooded American doesn't like to play in the sand!? Just kidding....kind of. Kind of like my kids not liking mashed potatoes! Is that normal?
chuckle--he just wasn't ready yet, was he?! :)
