Pear Harbor

In Memory of the 2,403 people who died at Pearl Harbor

Couple of interesting facts courtesy of Twentieth Century Atlas.

Today is the 6th bloodiest day in American History

In WWII America lost a total of 405,399 service men and women. That's almost half a million people.

If you happen to be a person who likes history you should really watch the WWII in HD series on the history channel. It's extremely disturbing but very fascinating. Warning: don't watch with your kids, I'm not kidding when I say graphic footage. It's hard to watch, but really makes you realize what soldiers had to go through. I'm extremely proud to have anything in common with these incredible people. Even if it is just the fact that we're American.

Sorry to be a downer.

Thanks for reading.

Not a downer--if we don't learn from history, we are doomed to repeat it! Thanks for the reminder--I had completely forgotten!!!
