I'm trying to start a revolution. What incredibly important issue have I decided to tackle, you may ask? Why Cookie Bars of course.
I love cookies. Cookies and Brownies are my favorite deserts. They're perfect. Compact, travel friendly, don't require silverware, packed with sugary goodness..... I could go on and on. But, like every love, it's complicated. You see I'm lazy and have the attention span of a gnat. While I love the end result and the baking, I hate the waiting process of spooning cookie on the cookie sheets. I loose interest after the first couple of batches and then it's a real chore to finish off.
My solution to this dilemma is that I make cookie bars. It's awesome. I make my batter and then pour the whole thing in a 9x13 in. pan and walla! Done! Same great cookie results no waiting around to put cookies on the cookie sheet.
Since nobody likes to support a cause alone. I'm actively trying to sway you all to the cookie bar side. Think of all the time you could be saving. Please join my cookie bar revolution.
Thanks for reading.

I was thinking of you and your cookie bar beliefs last night as I baked my 15th pan of monster cookies! Isn't that funny? I remember how you always did that when we were younger. I like knowing that some things never change!
I'm in! But what if I never bake or cook, any solutions to that problem?
yes, andrea making monster cookies stinks! i love them, but hate having to make such a HUGE batch. i have never made cookie bars, but i think i will try that next time:)
Here's what happens at our house...I get in the cookie mode. Mix them up, drop 1-2 pans of them. Get sick of the rolling, dropping, cooling, scooping. Get out a small brownie pan. Dump remaining cookies. and then I have the best of both worlds...
Stacey ~ I doctor store bought cookie mixes.
I'm in! Speaking of which...I still need the recipe for your Monster Cookie Bars that you brought to Gabe's party. I know you told me and it was super-easy...but you know I have the memory of a gnat after dividing my brain between my 3 genius children. I think that recipe is worthy of a follow-up post here. :) Sara
