Fall

I'm so ready for fall it's ridiculous. I've craving it. I guess I'm a grass is always greener kind of a gal because it seems like by the end of every season I'm so ready for a switch. Don't get me wrong we had a great summer, but I felt like our vacation was the end of it. Now I'm ready to move on. The weather today is no help; there is definitely a fall feel to this day.

In an attempt to sway you, a short list of some of my fall favorites:

Football, especially high school football. I love those early games when it's still warm enough to really enjoy it.
Leaves! I love the sound of leaves crinkling under my feet and the memory of jumping in leaf piles as a kid. I also love the colors, which brings me to...
Sweaters, I like getting to bundle up a little after a long hot summer. I love those perfect fall days when a light sweater or sweatshirt is just enough to be warm but not hot.
Pumpkins make me happy. I don't know why but they do. I like to decorate with them, carve them, eat them, maybe someday I'll get ambitious and grow some too.
And finally, Halloween. Halloween is my favorite holiday, surprising when you consider my love of Christmas but true. I like that it's completely geared towards fun and kids. I have very fond memories of trick or treating with my cousins and later my friends. One year Andrea and I went as siamese twins. Sure wish I had a picture of that. Curtis smoking with a pumpkin on his head is another favorite memory.

Hope you enjoyed my ode to fall, I sure did and lets face it that's all that really matters.
Thanks for reading.
