So, I've been trying to find this book that I read in 5th or 6th grade. It's just been driving me crazy that I can't figure out what it is, but I remember very little about the book.
Anyway that's all beside the point, I was searching books for 9-12 year olds on Amazon and one of the first books it popped up was "Pride and Prejudice" by Jane Austin. I'm a little ashamed to tell you I read that book last year, when I was 28. It was a great book, a fun summer read. I felt like I had really achieved something because it's a classic. Until Amazon had to rub it in my face that it's a 5th grade (or below, I'm giving myself a little break and going with the 12 year old) reading level book. Come on seriously 9-12 year olds read "Pride and Prejudice". It's like 500 pages long. I guess I better go home and start reading "War and Peace" to Levi, I don't want him to get behind.
Thanks for reading.

that's funny...who knew?
was it Rifles for Watie that you read in 5th grade? We read that as a class...
Tell us about the book you were looking for. Maybe we can fingure it out.
If it makes you feel any better, I still have not read Pride and Prejudice. .
Honestly, I haven't read it either. Never been much of a fan of the "supposed" classics. To each their own!!!
