I Choose to Be Happy

I really don't want to sound like self help book, and I don't want to alienate any of my five readers but I did want to share this. I'm sharing because I think it works, or at least it does for me and maybe it will for someone else.
This morning when I woke up I decided I was going to be happy today. I was going to focus on all the wonderful things in my life and not let things get me down. Oh sure there are bad things going on in my life but I don't want to let them overshadow the fact that I have a great and blessed life. I don't want to waste any of my time being sad about things I can't control or am just unhappy about when I could instead by happy about things that are working out. It doesn't change a thing with all those bad things but it makes it a lot easier to deal with them. It makes me more appreciative of my blessings, because I'm focusing on them. I've been given so much in my life it seems ungrateful not to acknowledge that everyday. There are days when I fail and I just can't be happy, but the great thing about this life is I get a new chance to choose happiness the next day.
It's simple and doesn't really need special instructions but here are couple articles that put things more articulately then I can.
How to Choose to be Happy

Thanks for reading.
