Jeans

Does anybody else have all kinds of trouble finding jeans that fit and look good? I don't know if I'm to picky or what but I can't ever find jeans that I like. I'm not sure what to do about this problem. Sometimes I find myself looking at other women and thinking, well those are cute jeans I wonder where she got them? Is it rude or strange to ask a stranger where she bought her pants. I'm not real sure on the edict for that, but I'm pretty sure it's frowned on in our society.
I wear jeans to work everyday so I need several pairs. I went shopping this weekend and after trying on about 12 pair I came home with one pair (Relativity Modern Boot Cut at Herberger's) that I liked. (I would have bought more then one of the kind I liked but they only had one in my size.) Then I cross my fingers and toss them in the washing machine, say a little prayer they come out the same size they went in.
Anyway, I know that you are all well dressed stylish ladies, please tell me what brand of jeans you like. I'm willing to try anything at this point. I will say though that times are tough and I do have a budget to think about. Thank you in advance for sharing. I'm starting to feel like good jeans brands are a secret that I'm not allowed to know.
Thanks for reading.

i have this same trouble. i can't wear sizes - it has to be measurements, like 26 waist 31 length... i find these jeans fit perfectly every time... the sad news: it tends to be only really expensive brands that do this. although vanity (in ottumwa mall and online evanity.com) has them for under $40... good luck!!

I don't have a brand I love. The one that I am most in love with is from New York and Company in Columbia....they come in longs. I totally get you about the coming out the same size as they went in....grrr! I can't dry anything, b/c it will always be too short! Good luck and let me know if you find anything you like.
p.s. I do know that juniors sizes are odd number and "us moms" shouldn't be wearing them. They are made for junios...obviously, that have no hips/child bearing scars:) I went down a couple of sizes when I started wearing women's sizes, but that meant no more maurices which I loved!

I like the Duck Head jeans that Goody's carries. I won't be able to get them for long so I the pairs I have hold up. A friend of mine has trouble getting jeans that fit very well. She found a place on line that she sent her measurements to and the custom made a pair of jeans for her body. I thought the price was high (over $100), but she said he had so much trouble finding jeans that she thought it was worth it.
